Hi! I'm Teyshaun Evelyn, an 18-year-old Computer Science student at the University of Rochester. As a first-generation college student from The Bronx, NY, I take great pride in overcoming challenges that have shaped me into who I am today. With a passion for technology and problem-solving, I’m eager to deepen my understanding of Computer Science while also exploring the world around me. My goal is not just to succeed academically, but to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
Since childhood, I loved anything that had to do with new and impressive technology. I love diving into Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and trying to create new websites and applications while expanding my knowledge even more. Not only do I love software, but I love the physical side of computer engineering too. I built my own PC in late 2018, and have been upgrading it ever since. For a while now, I've been exploring new topics and learning new skills that would greatly benefit me in my career path.
Photography has always been one of my biggest hobbies. Every time I come across a beautiful scene, I make it my priority to capture the moment. As time went by, my skills grew, and I learnt how to edit my photos using Adobe Lightroom, and later on by Adobe Photoshop when my professor taught us how to use it during class. As my love for photography grew, I began to aspire for a DSLR, and finally obtained a Canon Rebel T8I in November of 2023. Below are some of the many photos I've taken over the years with my DSLR.
This is a video I made that experimented with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro. The video was supposed to convey a feeling or an emotion, and mine was based off the calm and relaxing nature of New York City.
This is a poster I made as a way to test out my abilities in Adobe Photoshop. The goal was to create a poster that would be eye catching and conveyed a easy to understand message.
This was a project I did where we had to take different types of photos and edit them in Adobe Photoshop to create a series of photos that conveyed different messages.
This is a 3D scan of my water bottle that I created using Agisoft Metashape. With this project, I learnt how to use Metashape, as well as the pros and cons of 3D scanning objects, and how to properly scan objects as well. In total, I ended up taking about 90 photos for this 3D scan.
This was a project where I had to create a game using a software called Twine. The premise was to create a storytelling game that can be run in any browser due to it only using HTML. I created a game about a driver who is racing to earn money, and had different scenarios/endings based on different variables, which required a bit of coding.
This is an application I made in May of 2023. The app was coded fully in Python and the UI was created with the module customtkinter by Tom Schimasky, and a API called CustomWeatherAPI was used to get real-time weather statistics from many different cities across the world. This App was my first introduction to intermediate-level topics, such as async(), await(), and Object Oriented Programming.
This is a Cobus 3000, a bus that is usually found shuttling passengers between an airport and the desired plane. This model was fully modeled out by me in Blender, a 3D modelling software in October of 2023 as a commision.
This is a website created in March of 2022 for a final project in a Digital Web Design class. It is a website that was meant as a way to listen to artists while reading up on their history and different albums. This website features spotify and video embeds, as well as a navigation bar from Bootstrap. This was my first completed website.
